Update on US student visa 2025
Update on Donald Trump's banning and unbanning of US student visa processing
Last month May, the Donald Trump administration paused the processing of US student visa.
This month June, the government made a U-turn and has ordered US embassies and consulates worldwide to begin processing US student visas once again.
The news report for both is below.

The only thing that has changed is that your social media accounts would be checked, and the US government advise that you must set your profile to "public" before going to the US embassy or consulate for your visa interview.
If you're using drop-box and don't need to go the US embassy or consulate for your visa interview, you'll still need to set your social media accounts to "public" before sending your visa application and documents to the embassy.
My advice is that even if you get your visa approved, you should allow your social media accounts to remain public until you get into the USA because the CBP officers at the port of entry would most likely also check your social media profiles when you arrive the airport in the USA.
Finally, make sure you download and read the successful US student visa interview questions and answers PDF. That's what you need to learn how to answer the US student visa interview questions and get your visa approved.
